Day 6: Childhood Memory

When I was in middle school I became a bit obsessed with candles.  I had TONS of candles.  This one night I was burning a few on my nightstand while watching TV in my black light sensitive blow up chair (I so wish I had a picture of this awesome chair, maybe I'll google to see if I can find one).  It's also possible I was painting my toes neon lime green, I still have the polish if anyone needs to borrow it.  I look over during a commercial (the candles probably had been burning 30 minutes or so) and I had this huge melted area in the middle of my lamp shade.  Thankfully, I did not burn down the house but as you can see I still love candles.  All 3 of these came from the same room and the one on the left I made at a little shop in Helena.  There were 6 other candles in this room but they were decorative and not actually ones that I burn so they didn't make the day 6 photo cut.

I'm going to edit this post because I found a picture of the blow up chair, woohoo!

I also had this chair in lime green for friends when they came over but it was not nearly as wonderful as Princess Michele's throne :)

Well, this post got way off subject but I sure did enjoy remembering the good times of middle school.

Day 5: Someone I Love (and miss terribly)

My Brother, Stephen.

He didn't actually play baseball, he played golf but just had the shirt.  Most of his clothes were not his because he lost pretty much everything article of clothing in record time.  Then he would just borrow from somebody else and it always swallowed him whole.  Shoes... who needs shoes?  Those were purposefully lost to drive my mom crazy because he despised wearing shoes and was barefoot all summer long (fortunately he was a lifeguard so it was easy to get away with)

This one pretty much sums up his personality... getting catapulted off the blob at Blue Lake

Loving some Alabama football in the student section with me, I think he was about 16 in this picture.

Day 4: Favorite Color

Alright, I'm a day late and I cheated a bit... This is a picture of my flowers from our wedding but I loved the colors of my wedding.  My favorite color is coral, like a pinky coral not orangy coral.  This is really hard to find because almost all corals take on an orange look.  I think the flower at the top of the picture with the yellow tip is just perfect :) I wish I could have made it bigger after I cropped the picture but it was blurry.  I'll be sure to get my Day 5 up before today is over!

Anchors Away...

I loved this song when I was little.  I think because my dad was in the Navy and he would sing it to me.  I still love to hear it and they played it the first night we were on our cruise for the "Welcome Aboard" show.  Here are some of our favorite pictures from the trip.

St Thomas

Barbados

St Lucia

St Kitts

St Maarten

Day 2:  What I Wore

What I wore today and everyday.

30 Day Challenge

My friend Mollie sent me this link for a 30 day challenge.  I thought it looked fun and maybe not too time consuming.  Here's the link for all the specific days.

http://wildolive.blogspot.com/2011/08/30-days-30-photos.html

I'm going to attempt to really post one picture a day so when you see all this you will know what it's about.  Let me know if anyone else out there wants to try because I would love to see your pics!

Day 1: Self Portrait

Tired and ready for bed!  I feel this way alot lately.

This and That

Here are our new (well, a couple months old now) appliances that I love!  They all are sooo much better than what we had and they look pretty too :)

This is a block of the countertops that we want to install against the backsplash we already have.  After this project our kitchen renovation will be complete.

On a totally different note, these are pics from the awesome Martina McBride concert that Tommy and I took my parents too.  Mom and Tommy (both reluctant to go since Dad and I are the country fans) both really enjoyed the concert.  She always has such a strong beautiful voice and she pushed through with the humidity.  It was sooo humid that night because it had rained ALL day (literally all but the two hours she played in the amphitheater) and after "Broken Wing" she was said "Shew, I didn't think I would ever catch a breath!  I've never been in such humidity".  Welcome to South Alabama! lol

I realized just tonight while talking to my MIL why I have been such a slacker with posting.  Here's my excuse, I always blogged last spring or tried to be crafty/creative while Tommy was in class on Mon and Tues nights.... well, he hasn't had class since May so I haven't been taking much me time.  Classes start back next Tuesday so we will hopefully be back on track for the blogging world (maybe... no promises!)
